Definitely the hardest US Open pipe to hike – ever. I was ready for a Shawn free contest, and totally got pranked. I was 100% certain this was the year for Louie Vito, but no doubt, White’s run was over the top. I need to take back all the bad stuff I have said about Shawn over the years. Greg Bretz went down HARD and Shawn was stuck on the deck with us for 5 minutes while they got Bretz out. He was pretty damn cool, but I guess if you burn your fans, who do you have?

Shot these on an older rig. Just ran them through camera raw again to try to get some flavor back. The guy with the red Burton, green pants, and yellow jacket is Kevin Pearce back in day.

I actually have no idea if he even goes by that anymore. Zed hit me up, wanting to get a snap of layback frontside rock on a Jersey Barrier. This uphill, dirty, municipal project was the only one we could find.
